The eighth volume of the popular Japanese light novel series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, written by Hajime Kamoshida, will be adapted into a theatrical anime film. The film titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out was announced at the Anime Japan 2023 event and is set to premiere in Japan on June 23, 2023. The official trailer and key visual were also unveiled.

In Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, Sakuta is almost done with his second year of high school, following a tiring December. Time is running out for him and Mai to spend together as she is a third-year student. Meanwhile, Kaede is gradually exploring the outdoors again. However, she surprises Sakuta by expressing her desire to attend his high school, a challenging goal for her. Though Sakuta wants to support her, he's uncertain if this is truly what she wants or what's best for her ...
