The action RPG Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade, co-developed by the Taiwanese indie developer 7QUARK and Taiwanese game company FingerGame, released its first voice actor unveiling PV today, revealing that the protagonist Shigure will be voiced by Yoko Hikasa. It was also announced that a brand new playable demo will debut at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 on September 21. Check out the game's official Steam store page here.

Set in the Edo period, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is an action RPG that blends fantasy elements with roguelite mechanics. Once, a delicate balance existed between humans and demons, even amidst occasional discord, as both sides strove to maintain their hard-won peace. This equilibrium shattered with the emergence of the Nine-tailed Fox, the sovereign of all demons, who united demonkind to spread chaos throughout the mortal realm.

In this tumultuous world, you will embark on a journey, confronting a multitude of demons while seeking to restore peace. Through a series of adventures, you must uncover the truth behind the enigma and forge a path to reestablish harmony.

The game's latest PV revealed that the role of the immortal ninja girl Shigure will be voiced by the popular voice actress Yoko Hikasa, showcasing actual in-game voice acting. Development footage of two new additional characters was also revealed for the first time near the end of the video, along with the announcement that the game's release date will be postponed to 2024.

The development team expressed, "We are incredibly honored to have Ms. Yoko Hikasa join the production lineup of Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade to lend her voice to the protagonist Shigure, embodying her unique blend of strength and gentleness through her vocal performance. With the collaboration of the IMBA Interactive sound team from Singapore, we believe we can deliver the best audio experience. Furthermore, to offer players a more diverse selection of playstyles, the final version will introduce two new main characters with distinct weapon mechanics. In the future, we will gradually unveil more about their stories and combat capabilities."

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade will also be participating in the Tokyo Game Show 2023 event taking place on September 21. On-site, players are expected to be granted the opportunity to try out the forest-themed combat stage showcased in the PV, and engage in new boss challenges, as well as experience a portion of the Rogue system. It will give players a glimpse into the core elements of the game.
