Earlier this year, Larian Studios revealed their plans to bring Baldur's Gate 3 to the Xbox Series platform and the project has since been in the works for some time. However, due to some technical issues that needed time to be resolved, the project hadn't been officially announced.
It was not until recently did Swen Vincke, the CEO of Larian Studios, take to Twitter with great excitement to confirm that, following a meeting with Phil Spencer, the CEO of Xbox, they have discovered a solution to bring Baldur's Gate 3 to Xbox players this year. Furthermore, it has been officially announced that all enhancements will be integrated into the Xbox Series X version, which will include split-screen co-op mode (unavailable on Xbox Series S), as well as support for cross-save between Steam and Xbox Series platforms.
