由 Microids 开发商曾在 1992 年推出的经典游戏作品《Flashback》于今日在“Summer Game Fest”直播会面上正式释出了系列续作《Flashback 2》的先导预告片让粉丝观赏，并表示本作预定将在 2022 年冬季发售，登陆 Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox Series X&S / Xbox One / PC 平台，随后会在 2023 年登陆 Nintendo Switch 平台。
《Flastback 2》邀请了初代缔造者 Paul Cuisset 加入开发团队，他曾表示自己无数次想要开发这系列的续作，这次总算如愿以偿了，对于此系列的老粉以及新玩家来说都可以享受本作。
