After three years of waiting, the long-awaited official release of Larian Studios' RPG game Baldur's Gate III is finally here!

The game was first released as an early access version on PC platform in October 2020, and has since received tens of thousands of positive reviews. In today's State of Play, the developer finally announced the game's official release date, which is set to be on August 31 for Playstation 5 & PC.

In Baldur's Gate III, rally your team and journey back into the Forgotten Realms to embark on a legendary tale of friendship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the allure of ultimate power. A mysterious force awakens within you, all stemming from a Mind Flayer parasite lodged in your brain. Resist and fight back with dark powers, or succumb and become the ultimate evil.
