根据官方此前的情报指出，《Tales from the Borderlands》原先是由 Telltale Games 负责制作的叙事型互动冒险游戏，而完全新作《New Tales from the Borderlands》则转由 Gearbox 自主研发，将会以《Borderlands》系列世界观作为背景舞台，游戏内也将会为玩家带来全新的故事剧情、全新的角色以及全新的冒险之旅。
