At the Marvelous Game Showcase 2023, Shiro Maekawa, the series director of Rune Factory, not only announced the much anticipated Rune Factory 6, which is currently under production, but also introduced a new spinoff in the series called Project Dragon, showcasing the first in-game footage. No details about the game's platform and release date was announced as of yet.

Project Dragon takes place in the previously mentioned but unseen Land of the East, where players will embark on a journey as Earthmates, who are closely connected to the Dragons, and explore new territories and communities with a distinct Japanese-styled design. The game will retain the series' staple slice-of-life, combat, and romance gameplay, while also expanding upon other interesting gameplay experiences.
