曾开发过《死印》与《NG》的开发商 Experience 先前在 2019 年宣布他们正在筹备系列作品第三弹的消息，并展开众筹活动，随着众筹活动结束官方也公布了新作为《尸体纷乱 八敷一男 怪异谭》，原先企划是在 2021 年夏季登陆 Playstation 4 / Nintendo Switch 平台。
然而昨日官方所举办的线上直播活动中正式将游戏标题改成《死噛 尸体纷乱》，并延期至 2022 年 3 月 24 日推出，依旧登陆 Playstation 4 / Nintendo Switch 平台。《死噛》延期主要原因是剧本完成的时间比原先预定的还要迟，所以才会选择延期至 2022 年发售。同时官方还公布目前游戏开发进度如下：
