曾制作《恋爱与选举与巧克力》、《苍之彼方的四重奏》美少女游戏的游戏制作公司 sprite 于近日正式宣布以《苍之彼方的四重奏》中重要角色「鸢泽美咲」为主题的《苍之彼方的四重奏 EXTRA 2》预定将在 2022 年 3 月 25 日发售，登陆 STEAM 平台。该作是本传故事结束后美咲与日向晶也两人展开的故事。
《苍之彼方的四重奏》故事剧情描述人类发现重力粒子后，利用这种粒子发明出各种各样的反重力装置。其中一种名为 Flying Circus 重力鞋的运动也就此诞生。主角日向晶也曾经是在此运动受瞩目的新星，但却因为某次的败北与其他原因选择离开了该圈子，知道他遇到了转学生仓科明日香，在他知道明日香飞行训练的日子中，再次燃烧了心中的那份热情。
