The upcoming theatrical anime film Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning was announced at the Anime Japan 2023 event earlier this year. Recently, a new trailer and poster visual for the film was released, revealing that the film will still feature the original series' theme song Target ~Akai Shogeki~, performed by Kouji Wada.
Taking place in February 2012, just after the events of the Digimon Adventure tri. and the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, the story of Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning revolves around the appearance of a colossal Digitama in the sky. Daisuke Motomiya will find himself encountering a character who proclaims to be "the first person ever to partner with a Digimon."
