In today's DROP 01 showcase, Netflix officially announced that the well-known action game Devil May Cry from CAPCOM will be adapted into an animated series. The production will be handled by Studio Mir, which has previously worked on Dota: Dragon's Blood, while the producer of the Castlevania anime series, Adi Shankar, will also be involved in the production. This animated series is planned to be exclusively released on Netflix in the future.
Devil May Cry revolves around Dante, a half-demon who inherits a legendary demon bloodline. It is currently unclear which installment of the series this adapted animation will draw its narrative from, or if it will be an entirely original storyline. More detailed information is expected to be released in the near future.
