As Kamen Rider GEATS approaches its conclusion, Toei officially announced their fifth installment of the Reiwa Kamen Rider series — Kamen Rider GOTCHARD. The series is scheduled to begin airing on September 3, 2023.

Based on official description, Kamen Rider GOTCHARD will revolve around the themes of Alchemy and Cards. The Chemies, artificial lifeforms designed to replicate various real-world objects like grasshoppers, were meticulously crafted using the alchemy techniques. Each of these creations was carefully stored within Ride Chemy Cards, until they were unexpectedly released into the wild.

The protagonist, Houtarou Ichinose, is given the Gotcha Driver and entrusted with the task of retrieving the scattered Chemies. These artificial lifeforms vary in their suitability for companionship with humans. If Houtarou resonates with a kind heart, he can fuse with certain Chemies and become the formidable Kamen Rider Gotchard. However, there's a darker side to this tale – Chemies influenced by human malice have the potential to give rise to monstrous entities called the Malgum. The narrative delves into the exploration of the eternal struggle between good and evil, two inseparable facets of the same coin.
