Back in August 2021, the production of the animated series The King's Avatar 3, co-produced by Tencent Video, China Literature Limited, and novelist Hu Die Lan, was announced. After several years, a trailer for the anime has finally been released. However, the broadcast date is yet to be revealed, although it has been confirmed that the series will air exclusively on Tencent's Aurora TV platform.
The King's Avatar tells the story of Ye Xiu, a professional esports player of the online multiplayer game Glory. Due to various reasons, he decides to retire and instead finds a job at a nearby internet cafe. It wasn't long until Glory launches its tenth server. Adopting the new alias Lord Grim, he eventually returns to the world of Glory, embarking on a journey to reclaim his position at the pinnacle of the game. Along with talented new blood, he prepares to make a glorious comeback in the professional esports scene.
