The upcoming CG animated film in the famous Resident Evil series, titled Resident Evil: Death Island ("Biohazard: Death Island" in Japan), has just been announced to premiere on July 7. At the same time, a new poster and trailer have been released, featuring Leon, Jill, Claire, Rebecca, and Chris.

In Resident Evil: Death Island, Leon S. Kennedy of the D.S.O. is trying to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from his kidnappers, but his mission is interrupted by a mysterious woman. At the same time, Chris Redfield of the B.S.A.A. is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco with no clear cause. The only common thread among the victims is that they all recently visited Alcatraz Island. Pursuing this lead, Chris and his team head to the island, unaware of the danger that awaits them.
