在前阵子有着许多传闻小岛秀夫正在准备一款恐怖游戏、Xbox 独占作品或是过往的 IP 重启作等等，而根据外媒报道所述，曾经饰演《Death Stranding》主角的 Norman Reedus (弩哥) 最近在《行尸走肉》第 11 季的圆桌会议上对记者透露表示，认为小岛工作室或许正在准备系列续作《Death Stranding 2》，而且小岛秀夫已经正在和 Playstation 谈判关于《Death Stranding》的续作。
但是，这番言论可能指的是下个月推出的《Death Stranding》导演剪辑版，若真的是这个意思，那么就更加存在疑惑，因为导演剪辑版已经定档在下个月推出，小岛秀夫应该不需要再进行谈判，所以应该会是续作的可能性比较大。准确的消息还是等待未来官方亲自发表为准，大家当做传闻看看就好。
