Resident Evil 4 Remake global sales surpass 5 million copies!

CAPCOM announced today that the global sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake, released on March 23, 2023, have surpassed 5 million copies (across all platforms, including physical and digital versions). It's worth mentioning that the game achieved the milestone of 4 million copies sold in April this year, indicating an impressive growth of 1 million copies in just a few months.

Furthermore, CAPCOM also plans to introduce a PSVR2 mode in the form of free DLC for the game in the future, which is expected to contribute to the continuous growth of sales.

Resident Evil 4 Remake takes place six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, where the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the Umbrella Corporation, caused a major biohazard. As a recognition to his abilities, survivor of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident Leon S. Kennedy was promoted to a federal agent under direct Presidential oversight. Sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the President of the United States, from a Spanish village dominated by a violent cult, he embarks on a perilous adventure filled with uncertainties.
