The light novel series Demon Lord 2099, created by Japanese author Daigo Murasaki with illustrations by Kureta, previously announced its upcoming TV anime adaptation. At yesterday's "Aniplex Online Fest 2023" event, the latest official announcement shared a concept visual for the anime, the main voice cast lineup, and information about the animation production studio. It has been confirmed that J.C.STAFF will be responsible for the anime adaptation's production, with Satoshi Hino voicing Demon Lord Veltol and Miku Itou voicing Machina.

According to Yen Press' description of the light novel,

Fused Era Year 2099—Shinjuku. The dazzling prosperity of this massive city-state conceals a lurid darkness just beneath its surface. It is here—in this megalopolis that represents the pinnacle of human development—where the legendary Demon Lord Veltol makes his second coming.
