由东宝、圆谷、Khara 共同制作，庵野秀明负责企划&剧本以及樋口真嗣担任执导的日本特摄电影《新·奥特曼》近日宣布将会邀请著名歌手米津玄师来演唱主题曲《M八七》，同时也负责该曲创作，并且计划于 5 月 18 日作为单曲发行。
《新·奥特曼》是一部把 1966 年圆谷英二所导演的特摄剧《奥特曼》以现代舞台形式重新演绎的电影作品，而且会由斋藤工、长泽雅美、西岛秀俊等人担任主演，预定将在 5 月 13 日正式于日本上映。
