Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming first-person fantasy RPG Avowed was officially announced at today's Xbox Games Showcase 2023. The game is set to be released in 2024 and will be available on Xbox Series / PC. It was also confirmed that the game will join the Xbox Game Pass lineup at launch.

According to the game's official Steam page, In Avowed, you are the envoy of Aedyr, a distant land, sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague. You discover a personal connection to the land itself and an ancient secret that threatens to destroy everything. Can you save the island and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
