TV anime The Eminence in Shadow based on the novel/manga series created by Daisuke Aizawa has gained great popularity due to the vivid and humorous depiction of a chuunibyou protagonist through Cid Kagenou, attracting fans and new audience alike.

Along with the end of the highly popular season one of the anime, the official announcement of the decision to produce a second season was unsurprisingly unveiled. However, the broadcast date is yet to be revealed.

The story of The Eminence in Shadow depicts a young boy named Cid who yearns to become a powerful figure who hides his true power and exerts power in the shadows. After reincarnating into another world, Cid attempts to fully embrace this concept and secretly displays his abilities in order to defeat his imagined enemy, the Cult of Diablos. Despite being extremely delusional ("chuunibyou") he still managed to gather a band of girls who believed in his delusions. However, it seems that this cult actually exists ... Together with his companions, they established the "Shadow Garden" and aim to eliminate the darkness of the world.
