Season 3 of the TV anime adaptation of The Rising of the Shield Hero, written by Japanese novelist Aneko Yusagi, recently unveiled its second PV. It has been confirmed that the anime will officially premiere on October 6, 2023.

The story of The Rising of the Shield Hero follows Naofumi Iwatani, a second-year college student who stumbles upon a book called “The Record of the Four Holy Weapons" in the town's public library by chance. Upon turning to a blank page, he is abruptly summoned to another world and takes on the mantle of the "Shield Hero." In this realm, where the shield is considered a symbol of wrongdoing, the Shield Hero is unjustly accused of assault by the princess. Left to fend for himself amidst this hostile beginning, Naofumi embarks on a solitary journey, no longer trusting anyone. Can he fulfill his heroic duty and find a way back to his original world in the face of such a daunting start?
