At last year's TGS2022, KONAMI had announced the upcoming release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars within 2023. However, it was recently announced that the game will delay its release to an unknown date due to the need for additional time to ensure the quality, gameplay experience, and performance of the game. A new release date will be revealed at a later time.

According to previous information, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster will undergo significant improvements, including the reillustrations of all character portraits, adjustments for screen proportions, upgrades to visuals and sound effects, and the addition of several new features. These new features encompass an automatic save system, accelerated battle mode, and text display for dialogue, among others.
