曾开发过多款心灵恐怖游戏的开发商 Experience 在去年六月份的时候，官方曾出面公布游戏将在 3 月 24 日发售，但在公布发售日没多久后，开发商负责人“千头”在推特上表示因服务器备份丢失，续作《死噛》的相关游戏数据等内容全没了。所幸其他工作人员有部分游戏数据才能让游戏开发顺利进行，虽然丢失的数据量颇大，却不影响工作人员开发《死噛》的热情。
而近日在 Experience 官方所举办的线上直播会面中释出了关于游戏的开发进度、游戏截图画面、场景设定与游戏探索内容等等，同时宣布新作《死噛》将从原定的 2022 年 3 月 24 日延期至 2022 年 9 月 15 日发售，登陆 Playstation 4 / Nintendo Switch 平台。
