在不久前，由 Guerrilla Games 所开发的次世代新作《Horizon Forbidden West》正式开放预购，但当时作出了一些错误决定，不让玩家免费升级 PS5 版引起了不少争论，而近日 Jim Ryan 在官方 Blog 上更新消息，表示PS4 版《Horizon Forbidden West》可以免费升级 PS5 次世代版。本作预定将在 2022 年 2 月 18 日发售，登陆 Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 平台。
但是，之后推出的 Playstation 第一方独占次世代游戏作品（无论是数位版/实体版），将需要花费 10 美金才能把 PS4 版升级为 PS5 版，这当中包括明年推出的《God of War:Ragnarok》、《Gran Turismo 7》等等。
