The TV anime adaptation of the popular Japanese light novel series Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World, created by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka, released the second promotional visual for the upcoming Season 3 at the recent MF Bunko J Summer School Festival livestream event. However, the broadcast date is still undisclosed as of now.
The story of Re:Zero — Starting Life in Another World follows Subaru Natsuki, a NEET who is summoned to a fantasy world where he befriends Emilia, a half-elf candidate for the throne of Lugunica. While trying to help her, he is killed, but mysteriously revives some hours earlier.
As he continues to die and come back, Subaru discovers that he has the ability to turn back time after his death. Grateful to Emilia, Subaru becomes a butler in one of the Mansions of the Roswaal Mathers and uses his power to protect her and help her achieve her goal of becoming the next queen.
Throughout his journey, Subaru is committed to aiding other friends and acquaintances he meets, all while enduring the physical and emotional pain of dying repeatedly and bearing the memories of previous timelines that nobody else can recall.
