According to Famitsu, Konami, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last month, officially established a new game studio named "Konami Osaka Studios" on March 27, 2023 in the Umeda Twin Towers South commercial center in Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan.
Konami's existing staff make up the majority of the studio's employees, which operates on the principle of "creators first", providing an environment that maximizes creators' abilities, equipped with comprehensive motion capture and audio recording equipment for veideo game development.
Furthermore, Konami has increased the monthly basic salary by 50,000 yen, which means an average increase of 600,000 yen in annual income for all employees, with the aim of improving their engagement at work. In addition to Osaka, Konami plans to establish a new studio in Tokyo, which is expected to be completed in 2025. It is worth noting that other game companies such as Square Enix, SEGA, and Koei Tecmo have also increased their employees' basic salaries recently.
