Bandai Namco recently announced that their latest fighting game My Hero Ultra Rumble, based on the popular anime series My Hero Academia, is set to be released in fall 2023 in Asia, available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This game, as the first free-to-play battle royale game in the My Hero Academia series, features not only charismatic Heroes and Villains but also requires players to strategically utilize their Quirks to stand out and achieve victory in team battles accommodating up to 24 players.
- Feature 1: Stand Out in 24-Player Brawls
The battles will take place in a chaotic elimination match where 24 players are divided into 3-player teams, totaling 8 teams playing together. The playable area will gradually shrink over time, forcing players to engage in combat within it and strive to be the last surviving team. Team members have to work together in order to achieve victory.
- Feature 2: Harness the Power of Individual "Quirks"
The strengths of heroes and enemies will vary depending on their Quirks. Players will control their characters from a third-person perspective. By utilizing the advantages of their respective Quirks, players can cooperate with their teammates to achieve continuous victories in intense battles. The Quirks of each character can be leveled up by using Quirk Skill Cards scattered throughout the battlefield. Upgraded Quirk skills will be significantly enhanced, showcasing entirely different appearances and effects.
- Feature 3: Act Like Heroes/Villains
Contributions to the team go beyond defeating other teams. The civilians who can't escape in the arena are also vital factors that can influence the battle. Heroes can take actions that fit their roles, such as rescuing, while Villains can take actions like threatening. By taking actions in line with their respective roles, they can obtain items that can affect the outcome of the battle and contribute to their teams.
