Square Enix's mobile game Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, which shares the same worldview as the Final Fantasy spin-off series Dissidia Final Fantasy, announced today through X (formerly Twitter) that the game will cease operations on February 29, 2024, concluding its 7-year-long journey.
The official announcement cites challenges in delivering satisfactory services to players in the future as the reason for discontinuing operations. Additionally, all in-game premium items will be immediately removed from sale.
However, before the game officially shuts down, the official team plans to continue updating relevant event content and the final chapter of the main storyline, allowing players to experience a meaningful conclusion and accompany them until the very end, appreciating the support from the player community throughout the game's existence.
Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is a mobile game based on Dissidia Final Fantasy, developed in collaboration between Square Enix and Team Ninja, a studio under Koei Tecmo Games. The game employs turn-based battles to advance the storyline, featuring characters from the Final Fantasy series.
