Last September, Ubisoft announced a new free-to-play survival shooter game based on The Division series called The Division Heartland, but not much details were revealed until the recent Division Day event, where the officials unveiled a new trailer and information for the game.
The Division Heartland has the same setting as The Division but offers a more simplified gaming experience and a brand-new and gorgeous world. Players will once again play as an agent of the Division, taking on the mission to protect a town called Silver Creek, ensuring that it is not invaded by rogue agents or nomadic survivors.
In addition, players must uncover the mystery of Silver Creek Town and investigate why this once peaceful town has become a conflict center with raging war before the new virus spreads wildly. In The Division Heartland, there are different challenges for players during both day and night. During the day, players can explore, complete objectives, collect resources, and confront enemies. At night, the game becomes more dangerous as there are new enemies and players must be careful of the contaminated environment. As an agent, players can establish their own arsenal, unlock unique abilities, new areas, and other features in their base of operations to enhance their adventure, with the ultimate goal of accomplishing missions.
As of now, the release date for The Division Heartland has not yet been announced, but the closed beta recruitment is already open, which can apply on the official website. The game will be available on Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series / PC platforms.
