在今日凌晨举办的 Sonic Central 直播会面上，SEGA 官方公开了旗下《Sonic》系列开放世界新作《Sonic Frontiers》的全新实机短片，当中简单展示出类似 BOSS 战之类的画面。与此同时，外媒 IGN 也释出长达 8 分钟的试玩影片，包括探索世界、解密机关互动、战斗机制等等。本作计划于 2022 年晚些发售，登陆 Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series X&S / Nintendo Switch / PC 平台。
根据官方先前介绍所述，《Sonic Frontiers》将会是一款开放世界动作冒险游戏，玩家会扮演索尼克穿越星际群岛，探索茂密的森林、漫溢的瀑布、炙热的沙漠以及各种区域，在庞大的场景自由加速，与强大的敌人作战，体验前所未有的系列崭新玩法。
