Originally written by YUIN and adaptated into manhwa by Mini, the web novel series Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp recently unveiled the main trailer and second set of visuals for its upcoming TV anime adaptation, announcing simultaneously that the anime is set to begin airing on January 10, 2024.
The announcement also included details about the voice cast lineup, as well as the opening theme "Believer", performed by Yui Ishikawa, and the ending theme "Listen", performed by Maju Arai.
The story of Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp follows the life of Elise, who was executed as a villain due to her violent personality in her first life. In order to make amends for her past mistakes, Elise decides to become a surgeon during her second life in the modern era and save as many lives as possible. One day, after an accident, Elise finds herself back in her first life, but this time she possesses the knowledge of the young genius surgeon, Song Jihyun. With her modern medical knowledge, Elise begins a new life, determined make the most of her skills.
