CAPCOM recently announced that as of the end of May 2023, the global cumulative sales of Resident Evil Village, released in 2021, have surpassed 8 million copies. It is also worth mentioning that from now until June 21, CAPCOM will be hosting a 40th-anniversary sale, allowing players to purchase the company's titles, including Resident Evil Village, at discounted prices.

Resident Evil Village is a first-person survival horror game set in a village centered around a castle. The story follows Ethan Winters, who was living a peaceful life with his wife, Mia, and daughter. However, their idyllic life is shattered when they are attacked by Chris Redfield, a captain from the BSAA, who kidnaps Ethan's daughter. In order to rescue his daughter, Ethan ventures into a mysterious and eerie village, embarking on a new adventure filled with enigmas, where he will encounter witches, werewolves, and various monsters.
