Capcom releases funny Resident Evil 4 Remake parody anime short clip

Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake is just a few days away from its official release, and prior to that, the company has released a hand-drawn animated short clip in the style of World Masterpiece Theater called Resident Evil Masterpiece Theater: Leon and the Mysterious Village.

The video depicts protagonist Leon searching for Ashley in a mysterious village. Attempting to ask for the whereabouts of Ashley, Leon finds himself surrounded and brutally killed by the villagers with an axe. It seems like Capcom has had quite a bit of fun with this project.

Resident Evil 4 Remake takes place six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, where the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the Umbrella Corporation, caused a major biohazard. As a recognition to his abilities, survivor of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident Leon S. Kennedy was promoted to a federal agent under direct Presidential oversight. Sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the President of the United States, from a Spanish village dominated by a violent cult, he embarks on a perilous adventure filled with uncertainties. The game is set to be released on March 24 for Playstation 4 / Playstation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series / PC Steam.
