Due to various reasons and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war, the upcoming horror shooter game developed by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has experienced multiple delays. However, it was recently announced that the game is now scheduled for release on September 6, 2024, available on Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
While the game was initially planned for release in Q1 2024, the developer stated that there was still several technical flaws discovered in the game, thus, in order to meet player expectations, they have decided to once again postpone the release, allocating more time for further polishing and refinement.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is an open-world horror shooter game. According to previously released information, the game features a non-linear story, allowing players to delve into the contaminated world and uncover all the underlying truths. Moreover, every choice players make will directly impact the game's short-term and ultimate outcomes, leading to different endings.
