At Sony's PlayStation Showcase 2021, Insomniac Games unveiled the official sequel to the Marvel's Spider-Man series, titled Marvel's Spider-Man 2. However, no further details have been revealed since then, although there is a possibility that more information will be disclosed during the upcoming PlayStation Showcase 2023 on May 25.

Incidentally, in response to a fan's question, Insomniac Games recently confirmed on Twitter that the game is not a multiplayer co-op game. Instead, it will be an "epic single-player adventure" game. Therefore, it is speculated that both Spider-Man characters shown in the previous trailer may be playable by the player, or one of them could serve as a companion controlled by the system.
