With the Pokémon TV show bidding a final farewell to Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, the long-standing antagonists of the series, Team Rocket, have also gotten their send-off.

In the third to last episode of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series titled "Team Rocket's Counterattack", Jessie, James, and Meowth took centre stage. They attempt one last mission to capture Pikachu, with the help of many of their previous Pokémon. However, as expected, the mission fails, leaving Jessie, James, and Meowth to reflect deeply on their actions.

Jessie, James, and Meowth come to the decision to disband their team and bid each other farewell during the final scene between the trio. The last thing we see is the trio going their separate ways, with their former Pokémon watching on with a sense of sadness and nostalgia.

With only two episodes left to air, it seems that Team Rocket's saga has finally resolved. Some express sadness and disappointment as it seems like a disheartening ending for a group of characters that many have grown attached to.

The final episode of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu's Pokémon series, titled "The Rainbow and the Pokémon Master!", will air on March 24, bidding farewell to the animated series that has accompanied us for the past 25 years. However, fans need not despair, as a brand new chapter of the Pokémon anime series will begin later this year, featuring an all-new cast of protagonists.
