With Blizzard officially becoming a part of Microsoft and undergoing layoffs affecting around 1,900 employees last week, along with the departure of former president Mike Ybarra, it is now formally announced that Johanna Faries, the former general manager of Call of Duty, will assume the role of the president of Blizzard. She is expected to officially take office on February 5.
Following this announcement, she also shared the news of her appointment on her personal X (formerly Twitter), mentioning that she's currently alternating between playing three games: Diablo IV, Call of Duty, and Baldur's Gate 3.
