根据官方介绍所述，本作《HYENAS》故事讲述着因地球遭到毁灭性的打击，火星成了富人的殖民地，而一般幸存下来的人民们只能在严峻、肮脏的其他卫星上艰苦生活，试图让自己可以继续生存。但是，此时的富人们却把掠夺船从地球回收回来的物品，以高价向人们出售，然而这些东西原本就属于大家的。所以，在游戏里玩家将化身为强盗小队成员，打击这群在火星逍遥快活的人们，把原本属于自己的东西抢回来，过程中也会与其他玩家队伍竞争，最终完成战利品目标以及成功逃离方则会获得胜利，每局游戏共有 15 人，分为 5 支队伍，每队共有 3 人，玩家可以选择不同类型的角色组队，发挥最大作用。
