Koei Tecmo 旗下的著名动作游戏《Nioh》系列监督「安田文彦」在外媒采访时透露，关于《Nioh 3》的续作暂时还未有任何计划，目前 Team Ninja 希望专注于开发新游戏，但会通过开发新游戏项目，获得新的经验、技术之后，或许将会重回《Nioh》系列开发，创造可以超越历代的续作。
除此之外，当问到《Ninja Gaiden》相关系列新作，安田文彦表示暂时还没有要特别宣布任何事情，可是他认为《Ninja Gaiden》系列非常重要，因为如果没有它就不会诞生出《Nioh》系列。尽管目前开发团队还没任何要宣布的具体消息，但安田文彦让玩家们可以期待不久的将来，或许会有一些相关消息发表。至于《Ninja Gaiden》系列主角方面，依然还是会看到隼龙登场，因为他在这个系列扮演了非常重要的角色，非常期待看到老朋友重新登场！
