《Call of Duty：Modern Warfare 3》的故事剧情是延续《Call of Duty：Modern Warfare 2》之后，玩家将会得知更多系列主角的秘密，同时接触到更多全新角色、武器以及庞大的战争事件，体验身临其境又逼真的战场。鉴于《Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2》战役重制版的成功，相信开发商和发行商真的会推出《Call of Duty：Modern Warfare 3》战役重制版，但目前还未正式发表，准确消息有待官方公布。
