Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, announced the launch of a brand-new virtual boy band under their music division, Riot Games Music (RGM). This group, named HEARTSTEEL, is composed of beloved League of Legends champions, including Ezreal (vocalist), Kayn (rapper and instrumentalist), Aphelios (instrumentalist and songwriter), Yone (producer), K'Sante (co-leader and vocalist), and Sett (co-leader and rapper). They are set to release their debut single, "PARANOIA", on October 23.
HEARTSTEEL is set to collaborate with renowned music artists from various genres, with EXO's Baekhyun portraying Ezreal, ØZI taking on the role of Sett, Tobi Lou embodying K'Sante, and Cal Scruby representing Kayn.
As described by RGM, HEARTSTEEL is a group of vibrant heroes dedicated to uncompromising individuality and creative expression, on a mission to carve their own path to success. The band's identity and sound draw inspiration from modern music, influenced by a range of genres and eras, ultimately forming a bold and distinctive collective. These personalities, characteristics, and relentless spirit will be reflected in their upcoming single, "PARANOIA".
By the way, prior to HEARTSTEEL, RGM introduced the record-breaking global pop supergroup, K/DA, which features League of Legends champions Ahri, Kai'Sa, Evelynn, and Akali. Their debut single, "POP/STARS", recently received platinum certification from the RIAA, and its music video has become the group's most successful album to date, amassing over 560 million YouTube views thus far.
Subsequently, RGM also launched the heavy metal band Pentakill, with monthly listeners of over 460 million on Spotify and more than 200 million streams on DSP platforms. RGM has also established influence in the realm of hip-hop music through the virtual band True Damage, with their music surpassing 165 million streams on DSP platforms.
