日本老品牌游戏公司工画堂在今日举办的 Tokyo Games Show 2022 东京电玩展上正式公布两款作品，其中包含了《发明工坊 Legacy》&《发明工坊 Restore》，这两款游戏作品分别是旧作复核版以及系列重新构筑作品，两者均在 2023 年春季推出，登陆 Nintendo Switch / Steam 平台，支援简繁中文字幕。
《发明工坊 Legacy》是《发明工坊》系列初代「重现蓝海之都的荣光」的画面重制版，本作将保留原作中原汁原味的发明乐趣，依旧是一款大家熟知的城市发展模拟游戏作品。而《发明工坊 Restore》则是改编系统，使其变成动作游戏。至于两款游戏更详细的情报得等官方后续更进一步的发表才能知晓了。
