In December last year, Xbox's Head of Brand Phil Spencer promised that Call of Duty will be brought to the Nintendo platform after the acquisition of Blizzard Entertainment by Microsoft.
Fast forward few months later, CEO and vice-chairman of Microsoft Brad Smith announces on Twitter just now that a 10-year agreement have been signed by both Microsoft and Nintendo, officially bringing Call of Duty to Nintendo players.
Microsoft also promised that Call of Duty will launch simultaneously on both Xbox and Nintendo platforms, and that consistency of the game's content and accessibility among different platforms will be ensured. At the same time, they declared their commitment towards promoting more competition within the gaming industry, while "bringing more choice to more players".
