Square Enix 早在 12 月份注册了「Ever Crisis」、「The First Soldier」以及「Shinra」等商标，并在今天于日本当地商标网站公开，而这三个商标各自都貌似与《Final Fantasy VII》有所关联。
在 2004 & 2007 年 Square Enix 曾推出过手游《Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII》以及 PSP 游戏《Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII》，这两款游戏分别都有着「Crisis」的字样，至于「The First Soldier」可能指的是《Final Fantasy VII》系列的主要反派角色 Sephiroth。而「Shinra」相信也不必多做介绍，就是《Final Fantasy VII》世界观中的组织。
现在 Square Enix 注册申请这些商标，不排除开发团队正在筹备着《Final Fantasy VII》系列的其他衍生作品。
