据官方介绍，《百英雄传：崛起》是《幻想水浒传》精神续作《百英雄传》的衍生作品，游戏也属于同一个世界观之下，主要特设包括城镇建设机制、快节奏战斗等。此外，在《百英雄传》中出现的 7 位角色将在本作中登场，同时本作的 3 名角色当然也会在《百英雄传》中出现。
